آية من آيات الإبداع للفن الجزائري، وأحد أهم المعالم الأثرية والسياحية الموجودة في الجزائر، مقام الشهيد أو رياض الفتح.. يقع مقام الشهيد على هضبة الحامة المطلة على خليج الجزائر العاصمة وضواحيها، وقد شيد لتخليد جهاد الشعب الجزائري ومقاومته، وتم تدشينه من قبل الرئيس الراحل الشاذلي بن جديد بتاريخ 13 رمضان 1402هـ الموافق لـ05 جويلية 1982م.
قام الفنان الكبير بشير يلس ”الذي كان مديرا للمدرسة الوطنية للفنون الجميلة في ذلك الوقت” بتصميم مبنى مقام الشهيد، وجاء تصميمه على شكل ثلاث سعفات نخيل تتعانق في الوسط، وترتقع إلى السماء، وأشرفت الشركة الكندية ”لافين” على إنجاز هذا المشروع، الذي استغرق 9 أشهر فقط لإنجازه..

The great artist Bashir Yellis, who was the director of the National School of Fine Arts at that time, designed theMartyrs Memorial building, and its design came in the form of three palm fronds embracing in the middle and rising to the sky, and the Canadian company “Lavigne” supervised the completion of this project, which took Only 9 months to complete it.
